Set the candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from draughts and flammable items. Light it for around 10–15 minutes until a pool of oil has formed. Extinguish the flame, allow the oil to cool slightly and check that it’s comfortably warm before pouring a small amount into your hand and applying it to skin.

Stay with the candle while it’s lit, and keep it out of reach of children and pets. Let the vessel and oil cool completely before covering with the lid or storing it away.
